ShootFest returns for its third edition: this time in Porto, and going Iberian

DreambooksPro brings its celebrated wedding photography conference to a new city, a new scale, and a new dimension

After two landmark editions in Figueira da Foz, ShootFest is moving to Porto. The third edition of DreambooksPro's annual gathering for wedding photographers marks a significant leap forward: a new venue, a broader geographic scope, and an ambition to become the definitive meeting point for the Iberian wedding photography industry.

This year, ShootFest goes Iberian. For the first time, photographers from both Portugal and Spain will share the same stage: exchanging ideas, comparing markets, and exploring what it means to build a sustainable, recognisable creative practice in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Porto: a city that earns it

The move to Porto is no coincidence. Few cities in Europe carry the particular charge that Porto does, a place where centuries-old architecture meets a restless creative energy, where the streets themselves feel like a photographic subject. It is, in many ways, the natural home for an event about the craft and business of visual storytelling.

The venue reflects that intention. ShootFest 2026 will take place at Hard Club, housed inside the historic Mercado Ferreira Borges in the Ribeira district, steps from the River Douro. A space with cultural weight, live music history, and the kind of atmosphere that makes a conference feel like an event.

A lineup spanning two countries

Twenty-three speakers - from Portugal, Spain, and beyond - will take the stage across two days of panels, roundtables, and conversations. The programme is built around the real challenges practitioners face: how to develop a visual identity that stands out, how to build a brand that goes beyond a logo, and how to navigate two distinct but increasingly interconnected markets.

Confirmed speakers include names such as Vanessa Power, Victor Martí, André Teixeira / Branco Prata, Hugo Coelho, Álvaro Sancha, Maria Espinosa, Joana Martins, José Raposo and Fer Juaristi (MX).,

The Programme: substance over surface

ShootFest is structured around two core themes that reflect the most pressing questions in the industry today.

Visual Identity: In a saturated market, a recognisable style is no longer optional. This panel brings together photographers who have built distinctive visual languages and invites them to speak honestly about how they got there, what it changed in their businesses, and how they sustain consistency over time.

Speakers: Vanessa Power, Victor Martí, The Framers.

Brand Building: Miguel Ferreira Photography or Luz & Alma? A personal name or a brand identity? There is no universal right answer, but every choice carries consequences. This panel goes beyond logos and names to examine every client touchpoint, from the first email to the final delivered product, as an act of brand communication.

Speakers: André Teixeira / Branco Prata, Victor Lax.
